I was home river,River Yu today,Located in Nagano prefecture,Japan. Arrived about P.M.3:00.

I found 1 fisher men enjoying Tenkara but no bite... I decided to drink coffee so i moved to my secret spot where you can drink spring creek's coffee. I boiled water using Colemen Sports ster,White gasoline and drunk 2 mug cup of coffee.

After i enjoy coffee,I moved to my favorite spot but there are no hatch and no fish rising... I been fishing at my home river since when i was teen age. Specially today's spot. I know that if you wait,Fish will start rising.

I waited, waited, and waited... I saw only one good size of Yamame(land locked cherry salmon) rising, only once.

But i have to wait more,i know if i want to fish using dry fly.You have to wait till those fishes rising again and again.

I totally waited more than 3 ours,Yes,3 and half ours later. Many May flies,Caddiss flies start to hatch as exact i expected...Even fish was start to rising exact spot.

I tie Crane fly to 7x tippet.and casted to rise 3 times. But nothing happned so i changed to May fly size #20.

at 2nd cast.Fish came.It was Japanese Iwana.

I took photos and released into water,No need to check stomack i know what they are eating for...

I found some rises again but those fishes did not kissed my flies today's evening.

What i was thinking today was,What if i bring my dodge oven to the river and cook Roast Chicken while i am waiting for rise...I have one reason that why i did not use my favorite wet flies here at my home river. Maki Caenis.
